Description
The northern part of the Oxford and Swindon Cooperative is a house built in the mid-19th century. It features a façade made of ashlar stone and has a very low-pitched slate roof that is hidden by a blocking course. There are two ashlar chimneys at either end of the building. The structure has three storeys, with a flat string course above the first floor and an ogee cornice above the second floor. The building has two sash windows, each with a single vertical glazing bar. On the ground floor, there is a late 19th-century shop front with an entrance to the right. An internal alley marks the line of the adjoining building to the north, which is attributed to R. Taylor and is dated 1877. At the rear, there is a restored two-storey extension, along with a cross building that has a single storey and an attic, featuring an open ground floor and a gabled dormer.
