Description

East End Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to the 18th century, with earlier origins likely in the early 17th century. A datestone reads RH1734. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled concrete tile roof, hipped to the left, and has a stone stack on the right end and a large rear lateral stack. It originally comprised a three-unit plan, formerly with a cross-wing to the left, the gable end of which was taken down and united with the rest of the roof in 1734. The farmhouse is two storeys and attic, with a four-window range. A C20 lean-to porch is located to the left. It has C20 casement windows with stop-chamfered timber lintels over a C20 door positioned to the right of centre, and C20 roof dormers. A stair turret is positioned at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
