Description
North West Lodge with gates and railings, built in the early 18th century, is located approximately 200 meters south west of Lee Place. The lodge is constructed from coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a stone slate roof. It has a rectangular plan, with the south elevation facing the drive showcasing a central half-glazed door framed by a plain architrave. The gable facing the public highway includes a projecting end stack finished in ashlar, while the other gable facing Lee Place features a glazing bar sash window also in a plain architrave. The building has raised verges with flat copings and a plain eaves band. To the left, there are plain iron railings and gates with spearhead standards. A 20th-century flat-roofed extension at the rear is not of special architectural interest.
