CLANFIELD POUND LANE SP2802-2902 (North side) 7/45 Boucher memorial approx. 1m N of NE corner of chancel chapel and Pope memorial approx. 1m N of N aisle of Church of St.S.

Pair of chest tombs. Boucher memorial: circa 1756. Limestone. Rectangular with moulded plinth, capping and stepped moulded top. Plain moulded inscription panel (illegible at time of resurvey (July 1987)) and corner pilasters on south side and illegible inscription panel on north surrounded by carved floral motifs with heads of 2 winged cherubs to top; linked oval-shaped decoration with rosettes at joins to pilasters. Inscription panels to ends, west commemorating John, son of Thomas Boucher (d.1756). Pope memorial: circa 1801. Limestone. Rectangular with moulded plinth, capping and stepped chamfered top. Slightly recessed oval inscription panels with floral emblems to spandrels and fluted corner pilasters, south blank and north commemorating Ann Pope (d.1801), daughter of Thomas and Susan Pope and wife of John Clark.
