Description

No 1 High Street is a shop built in the late 18th century. The building features ashlar stone with rock-faced coursed rubble on the south end wall, and stucco at the rear. It has a gabled slate roof with dressed stone copings and a northern brick chimney. The structure stands three storeys high and consists of three bays, showcasing banded quoins and a moulded stone cornice with a plain course above. The windows are recessed sash types, with the top floor having 6 panes and a 3-pane upper light, while the first floor has 12 panes. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front.
