Description

No 5, known as Co-op Shoes, is a shop located on Chipping Norton High Street. It dates from the early 18th century and features incised cement render with stone dressings. The building has a gabled stone-tiled roof and a brick stack at the north end. It stands three storeys high and consists of three bays, with rusticated quoins, blocked dressings, and large keystones. The keystones on the first floor are linked by a band and a moulded stone cornice. The windows are recessed sash types without glazing bars. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front.
