Description
This barn and stable, located approximately 20 meters to the northeast of New House Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared marlstone and features a Welsh-slate roof with a four-bay plan. The front of the building has full-height doors positioned to the right of the center and includes "candle" ventilation slits. The rear, which faces the yard, has lower opposing doors beneath a brick relieving arch, two additional slits, a stable door, and a slatted window in the end bay. The gables are equipped with lozenge vents. Inside, the trusses have ties and collars that support butt purlins, and there is a loft floor at the stable end. This barn is included for its group value.
