Description

The Minster Lovell War Memorial is a stone structure located on the main road running through the village. It features a Latin cross atop a tapering octagonal shaft, which rises from an octagonal plinth set on a four-stepped octagonal base. The plinth and steps are incised, with the main dedicatory inscription on the lowest step reading, "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF MINSTER LOVELL WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR." The memorial is situated on a paved area that is enclosed by a timber post and chain.
