Description
The Brooks and Fowler memorials are a pair of chest tombs located approximately 12 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St. Andrew in Kingham. They date from around 1807 and the early 19th century and are made of limestone. The tombs are rectangular in shape, featuring moulded plinths and capping, square corner balusters, and plain moulded inscription panels. The Brooks memorial has an inscription on the south side dedicated to William Brooks, who died in 1807, and another on the north side for George and Mary Brooks, who died in 1818 and 1816, respectively. The Fowler memorial has an illegible inscription on the north side and another on the south side for Henry Fowler, who died in 1850.
