Description

This is an early to mid-19th century house situated at the corner of Church Street and Orchard Way. It is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble, with some marlstone used for the gable ends. The roof is slate-covered with coped verges. The house has three storeys and a three-window front. It features glazing bar sashes with moulded entablatures to the ground and first floors, and smaller sashes to the second floor. The central entrance has a flush six-panel door and a flat-roofed porch. Integral ashlar stacks flank the ends of the building, each with moulded dripstones and capping. Single-storey lean-tos have been added to the rear. It is included on the list for group value.
