Description
This former stable, located approximately 15 meters north-northwest of Finstock Manor House, dates from the early 18th century and was later converted into pigsties, likely in the late 18th or early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof. It is a single storey with a loft and has three doorways with wooden lintels; the rightmost doorway includes a boarded door. In front of the two left-hand doors, there are later rubblestone pens, indicated by straight joints. The left gable end has a boarded loft door with a wooden lintel and a dovecote in the apex, which consists of three holes with stone ledges. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with the nearby manor house.
