Description

This barn, attached to the east of Leys Farmhouse, dates from the 17th to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed marlstone rubble with squared quoins and wooden lintels, topped with a thatched roof. The barn has a four-bay plan and is partly one storey plus a loft. The front features a full-height doorway located to the right of the center and a leaded two-light half-dormer casement in the lofted right bay. The rear has a lower opposing doorway. Inside, the trusses have halved collars, and the through purlins rest on large pegs.
