Description
Two barns located approximately 20 meters west-southwest of The Barn House, dated 1695 and 1779. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble and feature a gabled concrete tile roof. The late 17th-century barn has five bays and gabled porches on either side of a central threshing floor. The front porch includes a timber lintel over a late 17th-century plank door with decorative iron hinges to the left, and pigeon nest boxes are positioned above the lintel of the front doors and beneath the eaves. To the right of the porch, there are early to mid-19th-century windows, which were added when a floor was inserted. The late 18th-century three-bay extension on the left has a timber lintel over a boarded entry and a gabled porch on the opposite side. Inside, the late 18th-century barn features a collar-truss roof with butt purlins, while the late 17th-century barn has a similar roof with likely 18th-century Queen struts.
