Description
This barn, located approximately 100 meters east of Chase House, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with squared quoins and features a corrugated-asbestos roof. The barn has a five-bay plan, with a central porch and flanking outshuts. There are full-height opposed doors at the rear and triangular vents in the end walls. The steep-pitched roof is hipped over the porch. Inside, the trusses include tiebeams and collars, supporting two rows of butt purlins. The outshuts are an early addition to the structure.
