Description
Fishery Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled Welsh slate roof, with brick stacks at the ends and along the ridge. The building has a three-unit plan, stands two storeys high with an attic, and has a three-window range. There is a flat stone arch above the central 20th-century door, which is sheltered by a lean-to Welsh-slate hood. The windows have keyed flat stone arches and include 20th-century two-light casements. The cottage also has hipped dormers with two-light casements. A small 20th-century extension is located to the right. The interior has not been inspected. Blenheim Park, where the cottage is situated, is included in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
