Description
Old Moor Grange and Stepstone Cottage is a late 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings. It is constructed of red brick with flared headers in Flemish bond and features an old plain-tile hipped roof. The building has brick ridge stacks on the left and right returns and consists of two storeys and an attic, with a five-window range.
The central entrance has a six-panel part-glazed door with an overlight above it. The windows throughout the building are 19th-century wood cross-windows, with those on the ground and first floors stepped over the doorway. There is a blind rendered panel in the centre of the first floor. The eaves are rendered and curved, and there are two hipped full dormers with two-light casements.
Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have timber-framed walls in the central corridor leading to the front door. There is a 20th-century addition to the rear left, which is not of special architectural interest.
