Description
Buscot Park bridge over the lake, located approximately 50 meters south of Basque House, is an ornamental bridge built around 1890. It was designed as part of the park's remodelling by Harold Peto. The bridge features squared rubble stone and finely jointed ashlar on the west face, while the east side has rubble stone and ashlar with brick above road level. It has three semi-circular arches, with the center arch being taller than the side arches. Each arch includes squared abaci, and there is a squared string course above to indicate road level. The faces of the bridge curve towards the corners and are topped with a coped parapet. This bridge serves as an eyecatcher, visible from the northeast terrace of Buscot House.
