Description
The Grange is a farmhouse built in 1658, as indicated by the datestone located below the west stack on the west front. The building was later extended with a north wing in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with stone dressings and features a gabled stone-tiled roof with brick ridge stacks. The south front has two storeys and an attic, comprising four bays with a wooden box cornice and four irregular gabled dormers. The windows are three-light, eight-pane casements. A centrally placed panelled door is situated beneath a flat moulded hood, which is supported by brackets adorned with leaf and tendril decorations. The north stone and brick wing has effectively doubled the size of the original house, also featuring two storeys and an attic with a gabled machine-tiled roof. Additionally, there is a further northeast stone extension that is one storey and has an attic. There are no notable internal features from the period.
