Description

Dene Hollow and Dene Lodge are a 17th-century house with a 19th-century addition, now divided into two separate dwellings. The original house has a 19th-century brick plinth, substantial timber framing with 19th-century brick infill, and a 20th-century plain-tile roof, with brick end stacks. It is two storeys and an attic, and originally had a two-window front. There is a front door positioned to the left of centre, and another to the right. Windows are irregular, consisting of 19th-century two-light casements. A raking dormer with a full window is located to the right of centre. To the right, a 17th-century addition is present, with a 19th-century brick plinth, timber framing (some of which has been replaced) and brick infill, and a 20th-century plain-tile roof. The addition is single-storey and attic, with a single bay. A three-light casement window is on the ground floor, and a gabled dormer containing a two-light casement sits above. The interiors have not been inspected.
