Description
The Malt House is a house dating from the early 18th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick featuring flared headers in Flemish bond, topped with an old plain-tile hipped roof and a brick ridge stack located to the right of the center. The building has a three-unit plan. The central entrance has a 20th-century sash door, flanked by a single-light casement window on the left, both covered by a 20th-century curved hood. All openings have three-light casements with segmental brick heads. A flat brick band runs between the ground and first floors, and there is a brick dentil course at the eaves. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have timber-framed internal partition walls on the ground floor.
