Description
Coulings is a house that likely dates from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The ground floor is finished in painted brick, while the first floor features small timber-framing with rendered infill. It has an old plain-tile double-depth roof, with a brick lateral stack on the right and ridge stacks at the rear. The building is two stories high and has a two-window range that is set at right angles to the lane. There is a 20th-century panelled door in the center, and the windows are irregularly arranged casements with leaded lights. On the left side facing the lane, the wall is made of red brick with flared headers in Flemish bond, and there is a queenpost roof truss with rendered infill in the cross-gable to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
