Description

Church View is an early 19th-century house located on the Market Place in Great Faringdon. It has a narrow front facing east and is constructed of ashlar. The house is three stories high, featuring a hipped roof with low-pitched slate eaves and moulded eaves. The front elevation has a single window on each floor, with bands delineating the floors. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. Flanking the ground-floor window are blank arched recesses. The north side is of chequered brick, with three blank, cambered-headed recesses on both the first and second floors. The central doorway has reeded reveals and an arched head, housing a six-panel door and a barred fanlight.
