Description

The gate piers to Faringdon House, dating from the late 17th century, are constructed from stone and have a square plan. They feature small quoin blocks at the angles of the shafts and are topped with entablature caps that include a coved architrave, a pulvinated frieze, and a cornice. Each pier is finished with a bulbous-based finial that has a ball on top. The entrance is completed with 19th-century iron gates.
