Description
No. 24A is part of the central block of former stables located at Ock Street, which includes Nos. 22, 24, and 26. This two-storey building features a central Venetian window framed by a stone architrave, with stone brackets supporting the cills. On either side of this window are two flat arched windows made of brick, also with cills on stone brackets, beneath a semi-circular blocked window with a red brick arch and a stone cill. The building is topped with a dentil cornice. To the left, there is a one-storey linking section that includes one window and a small parapet. The central part of the building has an elliptical carriage arch with a stone rusticated head and a keystone. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring a central open bell cote with a weathervane and a clock. Nos. 22 to 30 (even) form a group.
