Description

These are two late 18th or early 19th century buildings, numbers 80 and 82, on the south side of Ock Street. They are built of chequered brick with a hipped slate roof and an iron weathervane. A brick cornice runs along the top of the building. The two buildings have three storeys and two windows each. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in flush frames and have gauged brick arches above. A brick band runs across the front as a sill to the first-floor windows. The ground-floor window of number 80 has been replaced by a plain, early 19th century shop front window, with a flush frame, segmental arch, double-hung sash with glazing bars. The buildings have a brick and stone plinth. A set of three steps leads to a four-panel wooden door, which sits within a wood architrave and a blocked round-arched fanlight, itself within a brick arch. Numbers 80 to 92 (even) form a group.
