Description

CHARNEY BASSETT SU39SE Church of St. Peter, chest 6/86 tomb approx. 6m. S of chancel GV II

Chest tomb of John and Charles Whitehorn, died 1798. Limestone ashlar. Moulded plinth and cornices with hipped top. Fluted corner pilasters, simple moulded surround to inscription panel. Occupies a prominent position in front of the Church of St. Peter. Included for group value.
