Description
Bridle Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of roughly squared limestone rubble with brick window and door surrounds, and has a stone slate roof with brick stacks. The house was originally planned as two units. It is two storeys high with a two-window front. A segmental brick arch tops the 19th-century plank door on the right-hand side, and there are late 19th-century three-light casement windows. The roof is gabled, with gable end stacks. At the rear, there are similar casement windows, with segmental brick arches on the ground floor and chamfered timber lintels above. A 20th-century extension has been added to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
