Description
The garden walls located approximately 20 meters northwest of the Manor House at Hatford date from the late 17th century. The walls are constructed with Flemish bond brick and English garden wall bond brick on the south wall, featuring a limestone rubble plinth and limestone ashlar coping. The other walls are made of coursed limestone rubble, also topped with limestone ashlar coping. The north wall has an entryway, while the east wall features a brick segmental arch above a plank door. The south wall is designed to ramp down in stages. These walls enclose a rectangular area measuring approximately 100 by 20 meters and are situated on a prominent sloping site. They are included for their group value.
