Description
Swinford Bridge, located in Cumnor, was built in 1767 for the Earl of Abingdon, possibly designed by Sir Robert Taylor. The bridge is constructed of limestone and features a central section with three bays made of ashlar stone, characterized by long raised voussoirs over the arches and raised quoins. It has a modillion cornice beneath a balustraded parapet and broached cutwaters between each archway. The outer bays are made of coursed and dressed limestone, featuring round arches, a plain string course, and an ashlar parapet.
