Description
These stables, located approximately 15 meters southeast of The Vicarage, date back to 1767, as indicated by the datestone B.B./1767. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble with brick quoins and dressings, topped with a gabled old tile roof. The building is single-storey and features a two-window range. To the left, there is a tall hackney-horse stable door with a segmental brick arch above it, while the central stable doorway and the flanking windows have cambered brick arches. There is also a 18th-century loft door above a timber lintel over the coach house entry in the right bay. Inside, the stables have old beams and plastered walls, although the roof has not been inspected.
