Description

Pikes Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, now rendered, and has a thatched roof. The building originally comprised two rooms, and it has a one-and-a-half-storey profile with a single window range featuring 20th-century casements, set within a large 20th-century porch. The roof is half-hipped, and the left end features a brick stack. Inside, the building retains chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, a chamfered bressumer above the open fireplace, and a two-bay collar-truss with butt purlins and windbraces.
