Description
Flint Farm Barn is a 19th-century barn, dated 1823 on the tie-beam. It features a brick plinth and is weatherboarded over a light timber frame. The barn has a five-bay aisled plan and a hipped roof. There are 20th-century doors leading to the original central threshing floor, along with an inserted entry in the right bay. Inside, the barn has a collar and side-strut roof supported by butt purlins. The jowled main posts are arch-braced to the wall-plate and tie-beam. This barn is included as a dated example of a late timber-framed structure.
