Description
Holborn Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the 17th century and was modified in the late 18th or early 19th century. The building is constructed of chalk rubble that has been brought to course, with brick dressings and quoins, over an original timber frame. It features a thatched roof and brick stacks, and is designed in an L-shape. The farmhouse is one and a half storeys tall and has a two-window range. There is a gable end of the wing to the left, which is adjacent to a 20th-century porch. The windows have timber lintels and are fitted with 20th-century casements. The roof is hipped and half-hipped with ridge stacks. The interior has not been inspected. At the rear, there is a lean-to made of brick and chalk from the late 18th or early 19th century, and there is a late 20th-century weatherboarded and thatched extension at the end of the front left wing.
