Description

This is a town house, now used as a shop and offices, dating from approximately 1770. It is constructed of flared header bond brick with red brick quoins and dressings. The roof is not visible, and there is a brick stack on the right-hand end of the building.

The building is three storeys high and has a two-window facade. The original front door was a six-panelled door with a Gothick fanlight; it is now partly obscured by a 20th-century shop front. The first and second floors feature late 18th-century sash windows with gauged flat brick arches above them. A flush storey band runs along the front, and there is a parapet above. The roof is not visible.

Inside, there is a 19th-century straight-flight staircase in the passage, opposite the door to the upper floors. These upper floors contain 18th-century six-panelled doors and a late 18th-century fireplace in the top right room. A mid-19th-century dog-leg staircase provides access to the second floor.
