Description
Collymore Farmhouse, including the former cattle shed range to the southeast, is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century with 19th-century additions. It features chequered brick and stone tiled roofs with ridge brick stacks and stands two storeys high with an attic. The north front has flanking half-hipped gabled wings, each consisting of one bay; the right wing has sash windows that are six panes wide, while the left wing has three-light casements and a door on the ground floor. There is a central smaller later gable that is two storeys high, featuring similar sash windows and a lean-to porch on the right side. The south front has three bays, with a first-floor string course and dormers. The outer upper windows are six panes wide, and the center window is four panes wide. The early 19th-century angular bays on the ground floor have hipped stone tiled roofs, and there is a central gabled porch with a stone tiled roof. No contemporary internal features remain. The 18th-century cattle shed range, which is now used as garages, is constructed of rubble stone with brick dressings and has a half-hipped stone tiled roof.
