Description
Ashencopse Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse constructed with rubble stone on the first floor and brick in the attic, topped with a gabled slate roof and brick ridge stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic on the southeast front, featuring three bays of wide 19th-century sash windows. There is a brick string course at the first floor level and brick dressings around the windows, with those on the upper storey having cambered arches. The centrally placed door consists of nine panels and is topped by a two-light rectangular fanlight. A lattice porch with fluted posts adds to the entrance. The east wing is slightly taller and has a half-hipped machine-tiled roof. The farmhouse includes rubble stone and brick dressings, with a lean-to on the east end. No original internal features remain.
