Description
Coleshill Park features a park wall dating from the 18th century that extends from the Post Office to the main gates, which includes a lodge. The wall is ten feet high and constructed of rubble stone, topped with dressed stone coping that has overhanging eaves and a moulded ridge. The section of the wall from the lodge to the gateway opposite Nos 33 and 34 Coleshill is faced with brick on the rear side. The gateway is marked by ashlar piers and wooden gates. The lodge, built in the mid to late 19th century, is a single-storey structure made of coursed squared rubble, featuring projecting ashlar quoins and dressings, along with a Welsh-slate roof that has ashlar stacks. It also has a stone dentil cornice that rises to a small pediment at the north-eastern corner, and the windows are fitted with 12-pane sashes.
