Description
A row of three cottages, dating from the 17th century, is located on the north side of Malt House Lane in Dorchester. The cottages are of timber frame construction, with rendered walls and a thatched roof featuring brick ridge stacks. They have single- or two-unit plans, and are one storey high with attics. Nos. 1 and 2, the right and centre cottages, feature plank doors and single-bay fronts. No. 3 has two leaded casement windows on both the ground and first floors, along with a pair of shutters with fielded panels. Two of the four upper windows are dormers. The right gable wall has been rebuilt in brick. The roof is half-hipped to the left and contains two stacks. The interiors have not been inspected.
