Description

This is a late 17th-century house, originally a single building but later divided into three separate dwellings. It is located on the north side of Brook Street, Benson. The main part of the building is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble, with a plain-tile roof and brick end stacks. It is two storeys high and has a five-window front. There are two modern front doors in the centre of the building. The ground and first floors have modern casement windows. A flat band runs along the front of the building, between the ground and first floors, and also below the eaves. To the left of the main block is a two-storey, two-window range built of uncoursed limestone rubble with brick dressings. This section has horizontal sash windows in all openings. The left return side of the building has irregularly placed horizontal sash windows. The interior of the building has not been inspected.
