Description

This barn, located approximately 50 meters south of Upperton Farmhouse, dates from the 17th to early 18th century. It features weatherboarding over a heavy timber frame, resting on a flint and brick base, and has a half-hipped roof covered with corrugated iron. The barn has a five-bay plan and includes 20th-century double doors made of planks. Inside, there are collar trusses with curved under principals in the outer bays, and queen-post trusses with braced collars and clasped purlins in the inner bays.
