Description
Lime Tree Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has undergone some 20th-century alterations. The exterior is roughcast, likely built on a timber frame, with a plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack located to the left of center. The cottage features a three-unit lobby entry plan and is a single storey with an attic, presenting a three-window range. There is a gabled porch to the left of center with a 20th-century panelled door. To the left, there is a 3-light 20th-century metal casement window, and a 2-light 20th-century metal casement window further left. The roof has three gabled dormers and is half-hipped on the left side. Inside, the ground floor rooms have chamfered spine beams with ogee end stops, and the roof structure includes a queen post design with some wind braces.
