Description

Well Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century, with extensions added in the 18th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of clunch rubble and timber framing with brick infill, and has an old plain-tile roof with brick gable stacks. The house has a 3-unit plan and one storey with attics. The front has a door positioned to the left of centre, three 20th-century casement windows, and three gabled half dormers. The upper portion of the left and centre bays is timber framed. The right gable wall and a double-gabled rear extension are of 20th-century brick. Inside, there are chamfered and stopped beams. The property is included on the list for its group value.
