Description

This is an 18th-century building on Northfield End. The front facade is of rendered brick, with a brick dentil cornice that is now partially hidden. The roof is covered with old tiles. The building is two storeys high and has two windows. It includes a ground-floor bay with a moulded cornice, all with sash windows containing glazing bars. A 19th-century shop window also features glazing bars, alongside a modern entrance door. There is an additional 6-panelled door with a shouldered architrave and a label above.

The building is part of a group of properties including Denmark House, Elm House, Ruperts Elm, Ruperts Guard, White House, The Obelisk, Nos 1-11 and 15-25 (odd), Nos 93 and 95, Nos 70-102 (even), the rear building of No 70, Bell Street, Tarry’s Cottage, Bell Cottage, and the flat on Ruperts Lane.
