Description
This chest tomb, dating from around 1806, is located approximately 1 meter west of the south porch of the Church of St. Mary. It is likely made of Portland stone and is designed in a Neo-classical style. The tomb features a rectangular stone base supported by iron lion's feet, which have canted faces. The corners of the tomb are fluted, and there are inscriptions on the central panels as well as later inscriptions on the sides. The top of the chest tomb is pedimented and adorned with acroteria at the corners.
