Description
Whitchurch Bridge is a bridge over the River Thames, built around 1900. It features a steel structure with red brick abutments. The bridge is approximately 115 metres long and 8 metres wide, consisting of four equal spans. It has three pairs of piers with cross bracing between them, and a steel deck topped with a lattice girder parapet. The end piers are square in shape. The steelwork was constructed by the Cleveland Bridge and Engineering Company, while the foundations, masonry, and roadway were built by Mr. Tucker of Reading.
