Description
Walliscote Cottage is a house, likely dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings, and has a tile roof with brick stacks. The house follows an L-shaped plan and presents a two-storey, two-window facade. A central gabled porch features a roof tiled with alternating bands of fish-scale and plain tiles, supported on shaped brackets. The porch has a 19th-century part-glazed door with diagonal framing. A three-light casement window with diamond leading is to the left of the porch. An angled stone bay window extends from the right-hand cross-wing, also featuring diamond leading and a hipped roof with bands of plain and fish-scale tiles. A brick stack is visible at the left-hand gable end, and another is located at the junction of the main roof ridge and the cross-gable. The interior of the cottage has not been inspected. A subsidiary two-storey, cross-gabled wing, also probably from the mid-19th century, adjoins the left side of the main house and contains two-light casement windows with diamond leading on both the ground and first floors.
