Description

74 and 76 West Street are a pair of simple cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick and feature a wide stepped eaves cornice and a slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and have gabled dormers. Each cottage has one window, which is a sash with a segmental head and glazing bars. The side doors are plain and also have segmental heads. These cottages, along with Nos 58 to 64 and Nos 72 to 76, form a group with Nos 35 to 39 opposite and with the listed pavements and walls above the entrance to Adwell Square, including the wall at the rear of Nos 38 to 56 Gravel Hill.
