Description

The Poplars is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, notable for its flared brick headers. The roof is tiled, featuring bands of plain and fish-scale tiles, and includes brick stacks at the rear. The house is two storeys and has an attic, presenting a three-window facade. The central entrance features a six-panel door with an overlight and a segmental brick surround. Later 19th-century angled stone bays with flat roofs are situated to the left and right of the original facade. The first floor has three unhorned 12-pane sash windows. The attic is accessed by two dormers, each with a segmental roof and a six-pane unhorned sash window. Shaped gables are present at the gable ends. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
