Description
This is an early to mid-18th century farmhouse, originally an inn. It is constructed from limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a stone-slate roof with brick stacks. The building is arranged around a four-unit plan and has a symmetrical five-window front. The front door is a four-panel design and is flanked by a single-light window above tall two-light casements at ground and first floor levels. The outer bays project slightly and have similar windows, all with stone flat arches and 20th-century casements. The roof has a central gabled dormer and a further dormer located in the extreme left bay. Stacks are positioned to flank the central section. There is a single-storey wing to the left. The right gable wall features round-headed windows with plain stone architraves and keyblocks at first and second floor levels, above a pair of blocked openings. A datestone inscribed "1797" is visible on the left gable of the single-storey wing. The rear of the building has two small outshuts. The interior has not been inspected.
