Description

Pound Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble with squared quoins and timber lintels, topped with an old plain-tile roof featuring brick gable stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and consists of one storey plus attics. The front has three windows, with a door located to the left of centre. To the left of the door is a two-light casement window, and to the right is a three-light casement. There are two additional two-light casements in the extreme right bay at a lower level, along with two roof dormers and one further gabled dormer. There is an outshut to the right, but the interior has not been inspected.
